About Elevate CPD
Professional learning for teachers and school leaders across Scotland
Elevate CPD was created by experienced Scottish teachers who believe that professional learning should feel purposeful, inspiring and genuinely useful in the classroom.
We know how busy schools are. We also know that too much CPD feels disconnected from the real challenges teachers face every day. Elevate exists to change that. Our aim is to provide high-quality, in-person professional learning that supports classroom practice, builds confidence and helps teachers feel proud of the work they do.
At Elevate CPD, we believe professional learning is not an obligation, it’s an opportunity.

Why we started Elevate CPD
Between us, we have decades of experience working in Scottish schools across a range of roles, from classroom teachers to faculty leadership and whole-school improvement. We have seen the best of professional learning, and we have also seen how often it misses the mark.
Too often, teachers leave CPD sessions feeling uninspired, overloaded or unsure how to apply what they have heard. We wanted to create something different. Elevate CPD brings together respected speakers and practitioners to deliver sessions that are practical, thoughtful, and rooted in the reality of school life.
Our events are designed to give teachers time to think, to reflect and to leave with ideas they can actually use.
Introducing Charlotte, The Founder & Educator
Hi, I’m a drama teacher with more than twenty years of experience helping young people grow in confidence and develop their love for learning. I’m currently the acting Faculty Head of Humanities at a Glasgow secondary school, after previously being FH of Performing Arts and serving as PT of Literacy. Along the way I also spent a year as a university tutor, supporting new teachers as they stepped into the profession.
I’m passionate about great learning, great teaching and the kind of professional culture that helps staff and students thrive. That’s what led me to create Elevate CPD: a space where educators can learn together and feel supported.
Our approach
Elevate CPD focuses on the areas that matter most in schools, including behaviour, literacy, leadership, teacher wellbeing and effective classroom practice.
We believe great CPD should be:
Relevant
Focused on real challenges teachers and school leaders face.
Evidence-Informed
Grounded in research, experience and what works in classrooms.
Respectful of Teachers’ Time
Clear, purposeful and designed to make a difference.
Inspiring
Professional learning should remind people why they came into teaching in the first place.
All of our events are designed to fit easily into existing professional learning arrangements.
Meet Nicole, The Co-Founder
I’m a drama teacher in Glasgow with 5 years of experience helping younger people thrive in and out the classroom. During my time teaching, my experience in the classroom has shaped my belief that learning should be engaging, dynamic, and empowering.
It’s this passion that led me to co- create ElevateCPD. I wanted to take the skills and techniques that work so well in drama education and bring them into the world of professional development.
